Halloween Colouring Competition

The season of orange pumpkins, frosty windows, smokey bonfires and cinder toffee is upon us, which means Halloween is hiding just around the corner – wa ha haaaa! We throught it would be fun to run a colouring in competition in the run up to Halloween to give your children the chance to win a pair of our beautiful light-up ballet shoes to dance the wintery evenings away in. Here they are with a quote from one happy wearer:

You can also enter via our Facebook page. Here’s Halloween colouring in image, which you can download here: http://games.twinklesteps.com/Haloween.pdf.

World Dance Day coming up…

With dance themed goodies at the ready, we decided to run our exciting dance inspired drawing competition to coincide with International Dance Day (World Dance Day). But what is World Dance Day we hear you ask?

In 1982 the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI) founded International Dance Day to be celebrated every year on the 29th April, anniversary of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810), the creator of modern ballet.

The intention of the International Dance Day Message is to celebrate Dance, to revel in the universality of this art form, to cross all political, cultural and ethnic barriers and bring people together with a common language – Dance. Read more about it here.

We love this concept so we’ve set up our own dance-inspired drawing competition for children aged 3-8 years – the dancers of the future. We’d love it if you’d celebrate with us by entering our competition. We’ve had some lovely entries so far. Here are our two most recent drawings, photographed and sent in by parents:

What talented children you all have, and if any parents fancy sending in their drawings too, we’re happy to share them, just for fun 🙂
